What if there IS background music playing to our lives and it’s emotionally appropriate and everything but WE CAN’T HEAR IT?

Night Blogging with the IntrovertCat

introvertcat:

Things that are hard but you have to learn how to do:

  • Socialize
  • Deal with Failure
  • Taxes
  • Forgive
  • Put Others First
  • Admit You Were Wrong

I am not suggesting that any of these are fun or easy, but they are valuable life skills.

The alternative is to become a hermit, find a place far from civilization,  master survival skills, and learn how to deal with loneliness and weather.

This has been night blogging with IntrovertCat.

Taxes…

And I know there will be mistakes that I will make, but I know none are worse than chances I don’t take..
Hoobastank, “Right Before Your Eyes”

Today, the elderly woman I clean for told me that I should get out of the house more, hang out with friends more and find a boyfriend.

She thinks I have no life. Should I be offended?

Do not pretend to know what other people are going through, thinking or feeling, and don’t ever think you know the reason for everything. Be kind and generous in your words and actions- if you want to know for sure, always ask a person directly, and listen with an open heart.

Hey Tumblr- if I disappear from here for a few days at a time, I’ve either

- Gained a life (Yay 1UP!)

OR

- Gotten my hands on a new video game.

Here’s why I was gone this time, I’ll give you a hint:

I didn’t leave my couch for four hours straight. Yeah, no life. Glued to my Wii, thank you Natsume.

Mowed the lawn, tried to outrun a greyhound (dog), got some books and an employment application. Danced in my desk chair, sang in the car, ate Japanese candy.

It’s been nothing but an ordinary day, but it has been simple and perfect somehow ^_^.
